That dang Jennifer Mcguire...
That dang Jennifer Mcguire...
After purging and cleaning my craft room I promised I would not buy any new craft supplies ever. Then I watched a youtube showing this die and before I knew it I had signed up for the Spellbinders monthly die club so I could get it. Honestly, the card took hours to make (picture me sitting in bed this morning at 1:30 am sewing), but it was enjoyable and it makes me happy.
My color is off. It is much prettier in person. The mat is like a chalkboard, the card pale grey and the stitching more colorful.

Oh.my.goodness.
It’s absolutely gorgeous. Frame it and put it where you’ll see it every day.

Judy that card is gorgeous. I can see why you succumbed.

You'll enjoy that kit club. I get that and also got it for Peggy. I just got mine in today's mail so I haven't tried it yet.
Pam C, I can bring it to re(create) and you can cut some.

Thank you.
Debi, that is good to hear. I am not a slimline fan (mostly because I don't want to buy a bunch of new stuff), but this will work on a 5x7, too. For $15 it was worth a try. You may need to use a lint roller. It cuts well, but all those little dots wanted to stay in the die. My rolling brush didn't help. Also, I glued 2 together and sewed thru both.

Stunning card Judy!
Re: That dang Jennifer Mcguire...
Judy I saw this card of JM’s too. You rocked it and your stitching is jaw-dropping-gorgeous! Definitely frame it!

This is lovely, Judy. I've never heard of dies that do "prick and stitch" before. What a great idea, the pricking takes forever to do, and is tough on the wrist too!

I saw that die, too, Judy. It was so tempting to join. I would be curious to know all that comes in a kit and is there a time commitment.
Your card is beautiful!

Beki, it is just the die. This is actually the SMALL die of the month club. There is a large die of the month club, too. The die is just a tad under 7 inches long, so it really isn't that small. It is $15 a month and no time commitment. It says you can even skip up to 3 months if you want. I have a black one cut out and I am going to do that one next.

Beautiful, Judy! Is the THANKS part of the die or did you cut that out and layer it on top?
Re: That dang Jennifer Mcguire...
Holy smokes! That is fantastic! I only have one problem with that card - I can't imagine letting it leave the house!!! LOL.
Seriously though - what a work of art.

Marianne, the letters are separate (7 dies total).
Julie, I am dying to send it to someone. I would love a die like this that says HAPPY or BIRTHDAY or HELLO. I send out more birthday and thinking of you cards than anything else.

Re: That dang Jennifer Mcguire...
It's too bad that the center of the die isn't more versatile. I had a close look at it on their website. I think I'd be cutting the floral sections off the white background "thanks" or mounting a rectangular piece of paper over the center then adding my own words stamped or diecut if I didn't want THANKS.

Thanks, Judy! I’ve been eyeing that die for a while. I like “no commitment” clubs. I’ll give it a try.Trixie wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 5:59 am Beki, it is just the die.
