You know, I never use these colors...shame on me, but I just love them. I'll be doing a bunch of winter cards after the 1st using these colors, they really are beautiful...serene.

One of these counts for the challenge! This turtle looked like a water turtle to me, so I put him on one of my extra backgrounds from one of the TH tag techniques, where you smoosh the glossy paper in alcohol inks. The blue dots are Ranger Dimensional Pearls.

The first card I made tonight for my TJ one-on-one partner. It is blue and white. I was getting so much light bounce I had to turn off the flash and now it looks gray.
I also made these two snowflake cards. I may use them for Jan birthday cards.

Yesterday I happened to have some photos out on my table (hey, remember scrapbooking?) and one of the sunrise pics didn't fit in with the others. It had no orange or pink in the sky so here it is on its own. I'm going to do the acrylic album from Body and Soul for them so this is 8 x 8". Uses Refresh for bkg, silver from Time and Space, alcohol inked paper from some experiment. Oh, and the cloudy looking stuff in the bkg is some plastic I saved from some packaging.

Then I made two cards. I love snowflake cards and these colors. It's about the only time I bring out every sparkly glitter and shimmery stuff that I have. The top one has a few of our other weekend challenges: the Cuttlebuged piece started out as the faux leather with the masking tape. After I painted it blue and CBed it, I rubbed gesso and probably other stuff over it. It has a very soft and worn feel and look to it. Underneath that panel is one of the marbling failures where I sprayed the water with silver webbing spray. The beaded snowflake I inherited and is quite old.

The bottom card is another marbling attempt bkg. I had a little CD and I stamped that with my crackle stamp and gesso. I would have put it in the microwave to crackle it but DH was home and he frowns on that sort of crafting. Then I cut it up into shards and put it on the card. It really shines but you don't see that in the pic. Then I added the paper snowflake, white speckles, gem, etc, etc.

So, that's about it!

Maddie and I played a little last night with some stamps - she likes embossing. Maybe I'll eventually have someone who wants to play with me. For whatever reason all of the blue edging doesn't show. What is it with my scanner and metallics? The ribbon, embossing and edging are silver.
