Paper flowers from circles
Paper flowers from circles
Flower tutorials abound on the internet, but I like these ones make with circles of paper. Somehow they're less girly than a lot (I scrap mostly boy photos); I think they'd make a good alternative to the rosettes that are so popular right now, if you wanted something less bulky.
Re: Paper flowers from circles
I do love those! I tend to use the flat flowers for my scrapbooks and the pouffier flowers for cards. We might have to do another home-made flower swap...

Cool. Yes Pam, if we have another I'll get in on it this time.
Re: Paper flowers from circles
I found these once upon a time at Split Coast Stampers. They come out fantastic, but they do take some time. It's a great way to use up scraps - if you've got enough for a circle punch, that's all you need.

How funny, Cards magazine had
a how to on making these flowers
recently which I followed to make a
Spring card. I thought it was really
easy, hardest part was finding a really
neat 2 sided paper to use.

Agreed Elizabeth - what I had the most trouble with, was that my favorite double-sided paper is almost cardstock thickness, and for the size flowers I was doing, the thickness made the folds difficult. I eventually unearthed some old Creative Memories double-sided paper (very thin) and that worked GREAT. I did others with single-sided paper, but they're not nearly as interesting.

I really like the one with the map. I suppose it would be possible to use stamps to create double-sided paper.
