I broke out my new gelli plate (birthday present to myself) and played with gelatos and the CS Hydrangea stencil today. My mom loves hydrangeas and I wanted to make her something for her birthday (which I missed because our new home came that week). This is what I came up with. I tried to get a good pic of the face peeking out through the leaves, but I couldn't get the lighting right. The hydrangea petals are tissue paper cut with the tattered florals die (smallest flower).
A squirrel dining on a board after our deck came down with a fallen tree, Fall 2012, after a hurricane. I also made the cluster of embellishment including the stampbord piece with part of a pinecone stamped on it. That stuff has been around for a long time.
Did these pages this morning. I found the photos on the internet (we don't have any of our own). Old River was for NCR employees. As they fazed out the factory, employees from other companies were allowed to use the park. There's no sign of it now. Every so often, I post on craigslist in search of one of the locker baskets we used to store our clothes while at the pool. I'd love to have one of them. It's where I took swim lessons as a child. We had our high school senior picnic there. One of those places I'd love to revisit.
The sketch is one from Studio Calico. (a one-page sketch flipped for the second page, obviously)

I took this photo of Kenan on the way to Anacortes - very early in the morning. He does not enjoy having his photo taken. I thought we could make a game of it and try to get some smiles. This is the best of many, many attempts.

Spurred on by ScrappinJen to start working on my scrapbooking again... here's a layout where I made the flowers using my new flower dies from The Stamps of Life. I used the same paper as the squares at the bottom. This is also a use the stash layout that pack of K&Co. paper has been in my drawer for at least 2 years or more!
