I Did a Thing

Post by pbp908 »

Don't laugh. I wanted to do a couple of different cards that I have in mind, but don't feel like ordering dies, etc. right now. Especially since my crafting allowance is going to the mountains in a big old semi. So....

I pulled out my ancient Cricut! I didn't even know if it would still work. The doors wouldn't open on it, so I had to find a screwdriver to pry them open. Then I couldn't remember how the thing works. Couldn't find the manual, so I had to hit youtube to figure out how to even load the paper. Even used a cartridge that I've never used before!

So now to find some pics for the challenge.

And no, I still haven't been to the new Hobby Lobby here. :-o

I had my old Cricut until about a year ago, then I gave it to one of my coworkers along with a pile of cartridges. It was the original 6 inch wide one that hubby paid waaayyyy too much for as an anniversary gift the year they came out! Good for you digging out the old tool to give it a whirl. it's fun to cut your own embellishments, whether an electronic cutter or a manual one.

Maybe one of these days I'll be inspired to learn how to use the Wishblade.

I've taken baby steps with using the Silhouette Cameo, but it's fun when I do use it. I've even made t-shirts for 3 different conventions now!
