Graduation Card

Post by azemigh »

As many of you know, my youngest is graduating from high school on Thursday. Here is the card I made for him. It's the tri-shutter card that keeps a standard card front, but is basically the same as the other one's we've been showing.

Paper is the Bohemia collection from My Mind's Eye; Achievement UM from Milestones; harlequin horse from Haberdashery; Take Pride quote from Cyprus; Letter stickers from Sparkle; graduation stickers from Karen Foster Designs; Glacier Blue embossing powder; pocket watch brad (unknown) chain by Tim Holtz; mortar board from Jolee's Boutique.

We got him a real pocket watch for his gift and I am still working on his t-shirt quilt. Hope I get it done in time.

Rachelle, your card is wonderful. I, on the other hand, am a very very bad mom. My youngest is graduating tomorrow and I have not made him a card yet. Guess I'd better work on that tonight.

After you give him this fantastic card will you take it away and immediately put it in his album? What an incredible card...he will look back at this years from now and proudly say, "my mom made this for me, isn't she terrific!"

Thanks All! And yes, I will be snatching it back for his scrapbook. Hoping I get some good pics on Thursday and that the forecast for T-Storms does not pan out.

What Farley said...

My son's high graduation is why I started to scrapbook. He still has it and he has been out of college for a few years. He loves his book.

Your son will look back over this and smile....

I'm trying so hard to talk myself out of wanting to use this card design for Christmas cards. Maybe if I start now?

You did such a beautiful job with this card! So much attention to detail.
