November/December 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
November/December 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
Hey, gals, remember me??? I was the one who promised to give you a card sketch every month. I am sooooo sorry I got distracted by other classes and Retreats and travel, etc. and just plain dropped the ball. If you are willing to accept my humble apologies and let me return, I will do my best to post a card sketch for you every month.
So I am posting one right now in hopes that you will return to play with me. I know the month is half over but I had a card prepared yesterday and figured I could just adapt a sketch for it tonight. Hope to see some activity here. If not, I will just crawl back under my rock. Thanks in advance for your forgiveness.
Without further ado...

Re: November 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
And here's the card I made that inspired the sketch. I know I saw a card like this on the Internet somewhere and unfortunately, I did not record the maker. My new resolution is to always make note of where I steal....er...borrow....or beg these card ideas. There's so much out there on a daily basis, it is difficult to remember where you saw what. I made this card for my stepson's upcoming 49th birthday. Ohmygosh, did I just say my stepson will be 49? YIKES!!! Anyway, he and his father are car nuts and Scott recently acquired a used Mercedes so we thought this stamp would be fabulous for his card. The papers are all from the October Simon Says Card Kit called Forever and Always. The stamp is from B Line Designs. Thanks for looking and a big thanks especially if you forgive me and play along.

Oh wonderful. I love that card and want to play with those shapes. I'm on it!

You better be on it. I'm counting on you. Full Frontal Attack.
Those shapes, if you haven't figured out already, are just squares with two opposite corners rounded. I've always loved that look. Plan to use it more.

Yay! Another card sketch! I will definitely try to get a card made for this. I can visualize some Christmas cards with this sketch....

I haven't been following along with the card sketches, but I should. This one is easy-peasy, and a fantastic sketch for going through the scrap bin.

Love that sketch, Jen. And good job, Christy. I am also seeing ideas for Christmas cards in that sketch.

pretty cards
Re: November 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
I didn't have any more cards to cut up so I used some leftover wrapping paper that I had saved and some scrapping paper.
Judy, please note the use of the twine.

So much for my jumping on it, LOL.
Christie love your patterned pieces and the backgrounds.
Marianne, love your collection of wrapping papers. The colors are wonderful.
I used a mix of untouched POPs and some printed scraps that I can't part with for the matting. I've been in a serious stamping mode too so I couldn't resist using these small holiday stamps to make another card.
